Medical Ozone Therapy is an adjunctive medical treatment, which has a direct effect on the Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Haematology, Endocrine System, Nervous System, Immune System, and Enzymology. Ozone Therapy has the ability to affect the Psycho-Neuro-Endocrine-Immunology System (PNEI).
The practice of Medical Ozone Therapy demands a deeper understanding of the human body that goes beyond the basic requirement of Anatomy and Physiology. Medical Ozone Therapy is a treatment that is generally provided by Medical Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
Since the progression and development of Medical Ozone Therapy, especially under “The Low Dose Ozone Concept – Guidelines and Treatment Strategies” Ozone Therapy applications can be defined in two main categories. These are Clinical Applications and Non-clinical Applications.
Clinical Applications
These are methods that involve Medical Grade Ozone Gas having a DIRECT contact with blood, by injection or through IV infusion.
Non Clinical Applications
These are methods that involve Medical Ozone Gas that is administered through the dermal layers of the skin OR through the muscosal lining of the colon or vagina.
The methodologies for Non-clinical Applications have been further developed and it is now possible for Allied Health Professionals to apply Medical Ozone Therapy. However, Allied Health Professionals may have some restricted from performing ANY Clinical Application in Medical Ozone Therapy.
The Ozone Society recognises the MEDICAL OZONE RESEARCH INSTITUTE is the Offical provider of Ozone Therapy Training in the UK. The general course structure involves two online sections, the Theory of Medical Ozone and Medical Ozone Practical Modules that provides support for the Live Practical Training. The Theory of Medical Ozone requires a final exam to pass. The MEDICAL OZONE RESEARCH INSTITUTE meets the requirements set by the Ozone Society to educate and Train Medical, Dental, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals to perform Clinical, Advanced Clinical and Non-Clinical Applications in the field of Medical Ozone Therapy.
Medical Ozone Therapy Training
Medical Ozone Therapy Training is specifically designed for those who come from a Medical, Dental, Nursing and Allied Health Professional background.
The course provides the primary foundation for practitioners who wish to embark and fully integrate the properties of medical ozone therapy into their practice. The training covers the basic scientific principles, theory and fundamental concepts for Medical Ozone Therapy. All methods of applications are studied; the practical training involves clinical, advanced clinical and non-clinical applications.
The course ensures Good Practice Policies and Standard Operating Procedures in the application of Medical Ozone. Health and Safety for Operating Procedures of Equipment and Accessories are taught to all Practitioners.
Practitioners who fully embrace the level of standards and requirements will increase their potential in using Medical Ozone Therapy by providing a greater array of treatment protocols thereby enhancing their client management within their own practice.
On completion practitioners will receive an Specialist Certificate for Medical Ozone Therapy Training in their chosen field and Allied Health Professioanls will require an additional Independent Audited Certificate for the Handling of Medical Oxygen Gases.
Practitioners who have gained their certificate are required to have their medical ozone course certificates sealed by the Ozone Society. The seal provides the regulatory approval of the course and training, to perform and practice Medical Ozone Therapy with Good Practice, Compliancy, Health and Safety inplace.
